Jason Momoa answers questions about Conan The Barbarian Movie

CONAN THE BARBARIAN was the movie that I was least looking forward to seeing this summer. I don’t know why, but then I started to see more and more footage from the film, gore and all, and it’s fast turning into one of my most anticipated for the year.
A couple of weeks ago, Lionsgate released a video featuring questions from various UK blogs that were put to the film’s star, Conan himself, Jason Momoa. Well, part two of that Q+A session has been put online, and even THN got a question to the man in there.

“I fought twenty guys and then I went lopping off heads. It’s the first fight that you see of Conan. He’s coming in and he’s saving these slave girls. It’s obviously just a bunch of naked women getting whipped by guys. And I come in and save the day and take them to the nearest pub.” JASON MOMOA

Rachel Nichols plays Tamara in Conan The Barbarian

American model turned actress Rachel Emily Nichols was born on January 8th 1980 in Augusta, Maine. She had a happy childhood enjoying time outdoors, especially in the water, practicing her favourite sports windsurfing and sailing. She confesses growing up she was a dorky and shy, "skinny, flat-chested girl with long arms”. But that turned around by the time she started university. Even today Nichols insists on the importance of education, making remarks such as "brain transplant doesn't exist yet". However, it was during her univerisity years that she started off her modeling carrer, an opportunity she credits to being in the right place at the right time. Her life got quite hectic as she quicky became an international supermodel, campaigning for Guess?, Abercrombie & Fitch, L'Oreal, and Nicole Miller. Photo shoots often made her fly to Europe and accross the United States while she was studying economics and psychology at New York's Columbia University, and throwing in some drama classes aswell. Finally she made a good balance and graduated with a double major in math and economics.

Was originally going to direct End of Days (1999). However, Marcus Nispel left the the project when budget and script problems arose.

Director Marcus Nispel may not have the greatest titles listed on his filmography, but if there's one thing the man knows how to do it's how to spill blood all over the silver screen. From the remakes of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre to Friday The 13th to Pathfinder, he has demonstrated often that he knows how to make his characters act in the most brutal fashion possible. Looking at the first scene from Conan The Barbarian it seems he has done it again.

Lionsgate has posted a 2:50 look at the new film, launching the clip over at whenbloodisspilled.com. In the scene, Corin, played by Ron Perlman, challenges some of the younger men in his tribe to take an egg in their mouth, and run around a mountain. The man who returns first with the egg unbroken wins. While this may seem fairly easy, the men run into a bit of a problem along the way.
